4-Year-Old Seriously Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash in Perry County
Perry County, MO (September 29, 2024) On Saturday afternoon, 50-year-old Glen Morgan of St. Mary and a juvenile was hurt in a solo-car crash on I-55.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the horrific crash happened at about 3 p.m. on Interstate 55 at the 123-mile marker.
Reports say that a single-vehicle crash in Perry County, Missouri, left a 4-year-old juvenile with serious injuries.
Authorities say that Morgan was driving a 2015 Dodge Ram 5500 southbound on Interstate 55 when the vehicle caught fire.
Officials say that Morgan lost control, causing the truck to veer off the left side of the road and strike the cable median barrier.
Morgan transported himself to SSM Health St. Louis University for medical treatment, while emergency responders airlifted the 4-year-old passenger to SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital due to the seriousness of the injuries.
Officials say that both occupants were wearing safety devices at the time of the crash.
Authorities are investigating the solo-vehicle crash.
