Vehicle Overturns in Major Collision Near on Highway 120
JAMESTOWN, CA (September 22, 2019) – Glafira Montanez and two kids became hospitalized after a major crash on Highway 49 on Sunday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near the intersection of Highway 120 just after 6:30 PM.
Based on a report, 35-year-old Jose Figueroa drove a 2018 Ford F-150 Raptor. After that, he accelerated from the stop sign into the intersection. As a result, he struck Montanez, 35, of Groveland who drove a 2012 Scion VB driven.
The Scion became airborne before it overturned and landed approximately 100 feet down the northern embankment of Highway 120 and into a ravine. The Ford came to rest along the right shoulder of westbound Highway 120. Airbags within both vehicles deployed.
Three occupants of the Scion transported to hospitals for treatment. Montanez was taken to Doctor’s Medical Center in Modesto for treatment of minor injuries. In addition, an eight-year-old female flown to UC Davis Medical Center for major injuries. However, a two-year-old male was taken to Adventist Health Sonora with minor injuries.
According to the CHP, alcohol and/or drugs are not suspected to be a factor in the collision.
