7-Year-Old Pedestrian Victim of Collision near Jensen Avenue
FRESNO, CA (October 27, 2018) – A girl was injured in a pedestrian crash on Drummond Avenue, early Saturday evening. She was only identified as a 7-year-old child.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 6:00 PM, near the intersection of Jensen Avenue.
The victim was shaken up after she ran out into the road and was hit by an unlicensed driver. Prior to that, police said the girl was playing in the yard of her home. When she ran out into the road and the driver wasn’t able to stop in time.
Medics transported the to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment. She sustained minor injuries, and was just a little scared.
The driver of the vehicle stopped and cooperated with police. No other information has been disclosed to the public, as an investigation is ongoing.
