12-Year-Old Student Hospitalized after Pedestrian Crash on Chestnut Avenue
LOMPOC, CA (September 4, 2019) – A 12-year-old girl suffered injuries in a pedestrian crash on Chestnut Avenue, Wednesday morning.
According to the Lompoc Police Department, the incident happened near M Street, at about 7:40 AM. The girl and her mother attempted to cross the street when a vehicle struck the child.
Emergency responders transported the unconscious victim to Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria with major injuries. They later transferred the victim to a children’s hospital in Madera County. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
