EL DORADO, CA (February 9, 2022) – Tuesday afternoon, a 14-year-old girl died in a hit-and-run crash on Carson Road near Barkley Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Carson Road near Barkley Road at around 4:00 p.m.

Reports revealed that a newer model white Honda CR-V struck a young teenage pedestrian walking on Carson Road. Then, the Honda fled the scene westbound Carson Road toward Placerville after the incident.

Moreover, responders pronounced the 14-year-old teen victim dead at the scene.

Furthermore, authorities managed to locate the hit-and-run vehicle at around 7:30 p.m. Also, officials confirmed that the hit-and-run driver turned themselves in.
