12-Year-Old Bicyclist Injured after Crash on Riverside Drive in Napa
Napa, CA (February 16, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, a 12-year-old Sonoma girl sustained a minor injury in a crash on Riverside Drive.
The crash in Napa happened around 3:55 p.m. on February 15.
Napa CHP said a 54-year-old Petaluma man driving westbound on Boyes Boulevard stopped at a stop sign to cross Riverside Drive, as the 12-year-old bicyclist rode northbound on Riverside Drive.
The biker continued to cross the road because she believed the car had stopped for her.
Moreover, the bicycle rider was knocked into by the moving vehicle “from a dead stop” and fell to the ground with her bicycle.
The girl sustained minor injuries and no transport to a hospital was required.
Further investigation into this crash is underway.
