Girl Walking to School Hit by Car at Mojave Drive and 6th Street
VICTORVILLE, CA (August 5, 2019) – A 15-year-old Victor Valley High School student suffered injuries in a pedestrian crash on Mojave Drive, Monday morning.
According to the Victorville Sheriff’s Station, the incident happened at about 6:40 AM. The student attempted to cross in a marked crosswalk near 6th Street. There, she was hit by a slow-moving vehicle that made a right turn from Mojave onto 6th.
Emergency responders rushed the victim to a nearby hospital for complaint of knee pain. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The Victorville police continue to investigate to determine liability in the collision. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
