Giovanni Fissore Arrested in Suspected DUI Crash on Dougherty Road [Dublin, CA]

Dublin, CA (August 02. 2022) On Sunday, 42-year-old Giovanni Fissore of Livermore was arrested after a DUI crash that killed a pedestrian on Dougherty Road.

Dublin police say that the crash happened at around 10 p.m. in the 6200 block of Dougherty Road.

Reports say that a Chevrolet SUV fatally struck a woman walking in the southbound lanes.

Officials found the victim, and paramedics attempted to save the woman’s life, unfortunately, the woman succumbed to her injuries.

Alameda County FD paramedics pronounced the woman dead at the scene. The Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau has not released her identity, pending family notification.

Officers say that Giovanni Fissore stayed at the scene, police arrested Fissore for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Moreover, police say that all street lights in the area were fully operational.

Dublin police are investigating the collision and have not released additional details regarding the incident.
