3 People Dead in Mentone Plane Crash on Highway 38
MENTONE, CA (June 9, 2020) – Friday afternoon, Gineva Doucette and two others died in a small plane crash on Highway 38.
The incident occurred around 4:00 p.m. on 3055 Mill Creek Road/Highway 138.
The authorities revealed that a single-engine Cessna 172 plane crashed for unidentified reasons on Mill Creek Road.
The three people who occupied the plane died in the crash. The police identified two of then as 11-year-ole Gineva Doucette and her mother, Shery Doucette.
Moreover, the police added that the plane is registered under Christopher P. Hark of Big Bear City.
The FAA and the National Transportation and Safety Board spearhead the investigation to identify the cause of the crash.
