Seattle Woman Arrested in Olympia Deadly Collision
Olympia, WA (September 9, 2024) – 70-year-old Gina Munna of Georgia was fatally injured in a wrong-way crash on Pacific Avenue Saturday afternoon.
It was about 4 p.m. when a 33-year-old Seattle woman was asking residents in the east Lacey area for fentanyl.
One of those residents asked the Seattle woman to leave but the suspect accelerated her vehicle toward that person.
Responding officers saw the Seattle woman driving recklessly through oncoming traffic on Pacific Avenue SE.
The woman refused to pull over so the authorities began to chase her vehicle and deployed spike strips to slow the vehicle.
The Seattle woman drove recklessly westbound in the eastbound lanes of Pacific Avenue.
At the same time, three people in a car made a turn from northbound Fones Road onto eastbound Pacific Avenue and the Seattle woman crashed head-on into them.
The car driver and both passengers were transported to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. However, one of the passengers, Gina Munna, died.
Finally, the authorities have arrested the Seattle on suspicion of second-degree murder, vehicular homicide, two counts of vehicular assault, possession of a stolen vehicle, felony eluding, felony hit and run and driving with a suspended license.
