RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (July 11, 2021) – Thursday night, authorities arrested Gilbert Sanchez after a DUI crash on Milliken Avenue.
 
According to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the incident involving two vehicles happened at around 8:46 p.m. Moreover, the crash occurred on Milliken Avenue and Victoria Park Lane.
 
Reports revealed that a northbound vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed ran a red light. Then, it struck another vehicle and rolled over. Afterward, the driver of the causing vehicle, 50-year-old Gilbert Sanchez, fled on foot after the crash.
 
Furthermore, responders transported the driver of the second vehicle to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
 
Meanwhile, authorities managed to locate Sanchez after an area check on Miliken Avenue. Officers arrested the suspect who smelled strongly of alcohol.
 
Also, officials booked Sanchez at West Valley Detention Center with a bail of $100,000.
