2 People Injured in Fatal Single-Vehicle Accident on PCH
Long Beach, CA (May 14, 2023) On Saturday morning, 18-year-old Geronimo Reynaga of Wilmington died in a solo-car crash on PCH.
Reports say that the fatal single-vehicle accident happened at about 2:25 a.m. on the eastbound lanes of the Pacific Coast Highway.
According to police, a BMW was going the wrong way on PCH, when the 18-year-old Wilmington male driver lost control of the vehicle and fell off the roadway and overturned.
Officials say that the BMW veered off the roadway near the Terminal Island Freeway and was thrown into the air. Reynaga, who was a rear passenger in the vehicle was ejected form the vehicle.
Rescuers found the driver and another passenger inside the vehicle, both were taken to a hospital. Meanwhile, paramedics found Reynaga on the road, despite life saving measures, officials pronounced Reynaga dead at the scene.
Authorities are investigating the fatal single-vehicle accident and have not provided further details about the crash.
