Gerardo Nunez Dies after Crash on Jimmie Kerr Boulevard in Casa Grande
Casa Grande, AZ (November 4, 2022) – Thursday night, Gerardo Nunez died in a two-vehicle crash on Jimmie Kerr Boulevard and Earley Road.
The fatal two-vehicle crash in Casa Grande happened at around 9:28 p.m. on November 3.
Casa Grande Police said a BMW driven by Zander Kakar failed to yield causing motorcycle rider Gerardo Nunez to hit the vehicle.
EMS took Nunez to Banner Casa Grande Medical Center where he later died from the injuries.
After the collision, Kakar allegedly fled the scene of the crash on foot. He was apprehended Friday in Casa Grande.
Investigators said Kakar could face charges of fleeing the scene of a collision causing a death and failure to yield to avoid a collision.
Further investigation into this crash is ongoing.
