Jonesboro Fatal Crash Results in Injuries
Jonesboro, TX (May 17, 2023) – On Monday afternoon, Gerardo Gonzalez-Rocha, a 32-year-old Waco man, died, while others were injured in a 2-vehicle collision on Highway 36.
DPS troopers said a 32-year-old Waco man was driving a westbound 2016 F-350 on the highway when it hydroplaned on the wet road surface. The vehicle crossed the center line into the path of an eastbound 2015 Chevrolet truck towing a trailer.
Investigating officers said Gonzalez-Rocha was a rear-seat passenger in the Ford F-350 and died in this collision.
The Ford driver and the 36-year-old Chevy driver who was from Gatesville were both rushed to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple.
In the meantime, the authorities are investigating the fatal collision.
