Gerardo Espinoza Injured in Fatal Collision on David Road [Kern County, CA]

Kern County, CA (September 30, 2022) – On Thursday, 66-year-old Gerardo Espinoza sustained injuries in a fatal collision on David Road.

It was about 6:39 a.m. when the fatal collision took place west of Edison Road. 

Officers say a westbound 2003 Buick Rendezvous driven by Gerardo Espinoza headed into the eastbound lanes. The vehicle collided with the eastbound 2003 Toyota Matrix driven by the 38-year-old Bakersfield man approaching Edison Road.

The authorities immediately responded and declared the Toyota driver dead at the scene. 

Moreover, the paramedics rushed Gerardo Espinoza to Kern Medical with moderate injuries. 

Officers are investigating the cause of the fatal crash west of Edison Road. The authorities do not suspect drugs and alcohol as factors in the fatal incident.
