Gerardo Barragan Dead in Los Angeles Accident by Smokey Bear Road
LOS ANGELES, CA (August 9, 2023) – Tuesday morning, a startling two-vehicle crash on 5 Freeway near Smokey Bear Road left Gerardo Barragan Prado, 62, dead.
The accident happened at around 12:20 a.m. on the 5 Freeway near Smokey Bear Road.
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesperson Maria Grycan, an SUV collided with the cab of a truck for still unknown reasons.
Moreover, responders transported one occupant of the SUV to a hospital with unknown injuries.
At this time, the cause of the deadly crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
