82-Year-Old Geraldine E. McAndrews Dead After Crash on North Oracle Road in Tucson
Tucson, AZ (April 18, 2024) – On Wednesday, 82-year-old Geraldine E. McAndrews died in a crash on North Oracle Road and West River Road.
According to a news release from the Tucson Police Department, McAndrews was driving a 2005 Ford Escape SUV south on Oracle Road and attempting to turn left onto West Genematas Drive when a northbound BMW struck her.
At the time of the accident, McAndrews was wearing her seatbelt. Emergency responders transported her to Banner University Medical Center with injuries initially considered serious but not life-threatening.
However, the Tucson Police Department received notification several hours later that McAndrews had passed away.
The BMW’s driver, a 49-year-old male, also sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
