65-Year-Old Georgia Salas Killed in Lyons Avenue Collision [Houston, TX]

Driver Arrested in Houston Hit-and-Run Crash

Houston, TX (February 9, 2024) – 65-year-old Georgia Salas was killed following a Lyons Avenue collision Tuesday evening.

The authorities received the hit-and-run crash report at 6:05 p.m. in the 7200 block area.

According to the investigating officers Salas, was walking on the sidewalk when she was hit by a silver Nissan Rogue that leaving a private parking.

The emergency responders rushed Salas to a local hospital where she was declared deceased.

The driver, 50-year-old Nicolas Lopez Martinez, fled the scene but was later arrested for failure to render aid.

Police booked Martinez into the Harris County Jail.

The accident report noted that additional charges are possible pending the result of the investigation.
