One Dies, Four Injured in Vehicle Collision Near Deer Valley Road
Surprise, AZ (June 27, 2022) – On Saturday, 68-year-old George Weeks died and four others sustained injuries in a wrong-way crash on US 60.
The fatal collision took place before midnight at mile marker 137, near Deer Valley Road.
According to the authorities, they received reports of a wrong-way driver. However, minutes later, they also received reports about a two-vehicle crash.
They discovered that Weeks was driving a westbound BMW SUV in the eastbound lanes and collided head-on with a Toyota Sequoia.
The Toyota male driver has three passengers who were all under 15. The paramedics took all of them to a hospital with severe but non-fatal injuries.
