George Griset Hurt in Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Whitworth Road [Gustine, CA]

(March 24, 2022) On Wednesday, 84-year-old George Griset of Gustine was hurt in a 2-vehicle collision on Whitworth Road.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) says that the fatal crash happened at about 4:54 p.m.

Moreover, the CHP says that a motorcycle rider also died in a fatal collision near the intersection of Whitworth Road and Taglio Road.

Reports say that Griset was on a 2019 Honda north on Whitworth Road.

Meanwhile, the motorcyclist on a 2004 Suzuki motorcycle southbound on Whitworth Road approached the intersection with Taglio Road at a high rate of speed.

Eventually, both vehicles collided and caused fatal injuries to the motorcycle rider.

Griset sustained injuries due to the collision.

The CHP is investigating the collision and neither drugs nor alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash.

Furthermore, authorities have not released details on the rider’s identity.
