77-Year-Old Male Victim Pronounced Dead after Auto Collision on Highway 111 in La Quinta

 
LA QUINTA, CA (May 6, 2020) – Early Thursday afternoon, 77-year-old Genaro Nunez from Mecca, was killed in an accident on Highway 111.
 
According to the police reports, the incident occurred around 12:39 p.m., in the 79000 block of Highway 111. Emergency personnel arrived to the area shortly after. At this time, the events leading up to the collision remain unclear.
 
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office is currently handling the investigation. Police reports also noted that the family of Genaro Nunez was duly notified.
 
Moreover, the surrounding area on Highway 111 was blocked off during cleanup duties. However, the roadway has since reopened.
