42-Year-Old Victorville Man Fatally Injured in Accident on 395 Freeway near Seneca Road
VICTORVILLE, CA (March 2, 2018) – A 42-year-old Victorville man was killed in a hit-and-run collision on Highway 395 around 11 PM on Friday.
A witness driving north saw the victim on the highway near Seneca Road on the west shoulder of the highway, near the roadway’s white fog line. The pedestrian was identified by the San Bernardino County Coroner’s office as Genaro Garcia Huesca. Huesca was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:09 pm.
The witness stated that a dark-colored, four-door vehicle that was headed south swerved to the left and struck Huesca. The driver sped away in his vehicle and left the injured man in the road.
Deputies are searching for the vehicle, which they determined should have damage on its passenger side. They have also asked for the public’s help. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the fatal collision.
