Injuries Reported in Fatal Crash Near 19th Street
Lubbock, TX (April 9, 2024) – 67-year-old Gay Attebury was killed while others were injured following a University Avenue collision Monday morning.
The Lubbock Police Department officers responded to the four-vehicle crash near 19th Street and located Attebury suffering from serious injuries. The authorities later declared Attebury deceased at the scene.
Investigating officers said Attebury was northbound on University Avenue when she struck a pickup truck that was in the turning lane. That truck hit the car in front of it which then collided with another truck.
The three drivers in the other vehicles incurred minor injuries and were not transported to the hospital.
