13-Year-Old Boy Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Collision at 4000 North Wilson Avenue

 
LOVELAND, CO (June 8, 2018) – A 13-year-old boy died after he was struck by a pickup truck while walking on the sidewalk along North Wilson Avenue on Friday night.
 
Gavin Myers was struck by a suspected drunk driver as he walked along the sidewalk in the 4000 block of North Wilson Avenue, about a half mile from his home. He was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
 
A 47-year-old Loveland man, identified as Richard Swanson, is charged with vehicular homicide. Authorities stated that he was likely drinking and driving when the tragic incident happened. He was charged on Monday with third-degree felony vehicular homicide and misdemeanors alleging he was driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs on Friday night.
