Father and Child Injured in Alberta Street Crash
Spokane, WA (February 19, 2022) – On Friday, officers cited 22-year-old Gavin Burndt in an Alberta Street T-bone crash injuring a man and his child.
Officers responded to the crash scene at the Queen Avenue intersection.
When they arrived, the officers found a truck flipped over with a man and his child inside. They also found a car with Burndt pinned inside, and a fence and house that were seriously damaged.
Investigators said the car was over-speeding and failed to stop at a stop sign. As a result, it struck a truck with the man and child inside.
The paramedics freed Burndt and rushed him to a local hospital with substantial injuries.
On the other hand, the man and his child got out of the truck and incurred minor injuries
Moreover, police said Burndt was involved in a collision at Belt Street and W Wellesley Avenue, in which he fled from.
Meanwhile, officers cited Gavin Burndt with felony hit-and-run for the first crash. Also, Burnt was cited for reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, not having a required ignition interlock and driving with no insurance for the second crash.
Police said Burndt did not show signs of impairment during the investigation and was not listed in the Spokane County Jail inmate roster as of 6:45 p.m. Friday.
