ORANGE, CA (July 26, 2022) – Saturday, Gary Tripe died in a DUI crash on North Feldner Road near Chapman Avenue in Orange.
 
The incident occurred at 8:23 p.m. in the 100 block of North Feldner Road near Chapman Avenue.
 
According to reports, 45-year-old Jose Antonio Cisneros Segura of Anaheim drove a 1966 GMC pickup truck. Then, he lost control of his car and struck 64-year-old Gary Tripe on the sidewalk.
 
When officers arrived, they declared Gary Tripe dead at the scene. Also, officers described Tripe as a transient.
 
Afterward, Segura fled the crash scene. However, officers later found him in the 200 block of North Donnybrook Street, displaying “objective symptoms” of intoxication.
 
Thus, they arrested him on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter, felony hit and run, felony DUI causing death, and driving unlicensed.
