Gary Douglass Injured in Spokane Valley Car Accident

SPOKANE VALLEY, WA (December 18, 2018) – A person was hospitalized following a hit and run collision in Spokane Valley on December 14.

The WSP revealed that a silver 2008 Chevrolet Aveo was traveling west on Trent Avenue in the turn lane towards south Fancher Road. Meanwhile, 55-year-old Marian Fleming was driving a 2001 Ford Explorer with 64-year-old Gary Douglass as a passenger.

Fleming was traveling east on Trent approaching Fancher. For an unknown reason, the Aveo wasn’t able to yield the right of way and struck the Explorer in the right lane. The Explorer then blocked the eastbound right lane while the Aveo escaped the scene.

The Aveo was then seen abandoned a block away from the area.

As a result of the crash, Douglass suffered injuries and was transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center.

The Aveo driver is yet to be identified.
