Garrett Taylor Killed, Dylan Pullins Arrested in Fiery Single-Vehicle Crash in U.S. Highway 101
Ukiah, CA (August 23, 2020) – On Saturday, Garrett Taylor died in a fiery car crash on Highway 101.
The fatal single-car crash happened at around 8:20 a.m. near Perkins Street.
Authorities’ reports indicate that Dylan Pullins was traveling on a white RAM 3500 in the southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 101 at a fast speed. Afterward, he made a sharp right turn into the direction of Perkins Street. He lost control of his vehicle and collided into a tree. Immediately, the vehicle started a fire.
Paramedics and firefighters responded to the scene. They extricated Taylor who was pinned inside the RAM 3500.
Authorities pronounced Taylor, who was in the right front seat of the car, dead at the scene. On the other hand, Pullins sustained minor injuries. Rescuers took him to Ukiah Valley Medical Center.
Authorities later arrested Pullins. He was booked into the Mendocino County Jail for Felony DUI, Gross Vehicle Manslaughter, False Information to a Peace Officer, and False Impersonation.
Meanwhile, the police closed the roadway for almost 4 hours due to the crash.
