Unidentified Person Killed in Fiery Car Crash on Knott Street and Stanford Avenue
GARDEN GROVE, CA (February 26, 2018) – A person was found dead on Monday in a fiery car crash on Knott Street according to Garden Grove police.
Lt. Robert Fowler stated that the fiery crash was reported to police at around 12:10 AM. A witness informed police about a car at Knott Street and Stanford Avenue that was fully engulfed in flames with someone inside.
Firefighters arrived and found the burning car off the road between two trees in the southwest corner of the intersection.
The remains of the person were found after they extinguished the blaze. No one else was inside the vehicle according to Fowler. Details about the deceased person or what caused the crash were not immediately available.
Police traffic investigators were on the scene and are still investigating the incident. Anyone with more information or who has witnessed the crash is urged to call (714) 741-5823.
