Pedestrian Hit and Killed by Pickup Truck on Beach Boulevard and 22 Freeway in Garden Grove
GARDEN GROVE, CA (February 9, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported a fatal pedestrian accident on Highway 22 and Beach Boulevard and 22 Freeway on Friday morning.
California Highway Patrol received a report of a man at around 5:40 AM running across the westbound lanes of the 22 Freeway at Beach Boulevard. The pedestrian was then struck by a vehicle, according to Officer Jon Latosquin.
The driver of the vehicle, a man from Corona, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators according to Officer Duane Graham. Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be involved in this fatal pedestrian accident on Beach Blvd.
Authorities closed off all westbound lanes of the freeway during the investigation but reopened the roadway by 8 PM.
