Gabriel Patlan Barajas Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Trancas Street [Napa, CA]

Napa, CA (November 09, 2021) – On Friday, 27-year-old Gabriel Patlan Barajas from Napa suffered fatal injuries in a pedestrian accident on Trancas Street.

The fatal incident took place shortly before 10:01 p.m. west of the Silverado Trail.

Officers said Barajas was crossing the roadway when a 2016 Mercedes-Benz in the left westbound lane struck him.

Right away, an American Medical Response ambulance took Barajas to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center, where he died about 20 minutes later.

Meanwhile, the 25-year-old Mercedes driver from San Francisco pulled over on the north shoulder of Trancas Street. He cooperated with the officers’ investigation.

There we no charges or citations filed in this incident. The CHP continues to investigate this crash.
