Gabriel Gonzales Killed in San Jose Train Accident
SAN JOSE, CA (October 17, 2019) – A person died in a train accident on Southwest Expressway on October 15.
According to reports, a light-rail train struck a man, which led to the second death in less than 15 hours.
Deputies responded around 3:20 p.m. to the Bascom Station at 2051 Southwest Expressway. Sgt. Michael Low of the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office revealed that a northbound Winchester-Mountain View train hit the man.
41-year-old Gabriel Albert Gonzales of San Jose died after responders took him to the hospital.
Meanwhile, another person died Tuesday morning after a light-rail train also him at the Virginia Station. His identity remains unreleased due to pending family notification.
