4 People Injured in Moreno Valley Police Chase Crash on Indian Avenue and Hemlock Street

 
MORENO VALLEY, CA (October 18, 2022) – Monday morning, authorities arrested Gabriel Cabrera and Robert Valdez after a traffic crash on Indian Avenue.
 
The incident happened on Indian Avenue and Hemlock Street.
 
Reports revealed that a silver BMW 328 refused to pull over and sped away when authorities flagged down the vehicle. Then, a sheriff’s helicopter crew managed to locate the suspect vehicle. However, a department motorcycle was almost struck by the suspect while attempting to evade other responders. Moments later, the suspect vehicle ran a red light and struck a white Ford Ranger at the intersection of Kitching Street and Cactus Avenue. Then, the suspect driver, 25-year-old Gabriel Cabrera, fled the scene on foot but was located and arrested just a short moment later.
 
According to authorities, three occupants of the Ford sustained minor to major injuries. Meanwhile, a deputy who responded to the foot chase sustained minor injuries.
 
Moreover, officials confirmed that authorities arrested the suspect on suspicion of recklessly evading a peace officer, hit and run with injury, committing a felony while out of custody on bail, assault with a deadly weapon, driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury, and resisting an officer. Also, they arrested a BMW passenger, 21-year-old Robert Valdez, on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
 
Meanwhile, the incident remained under investigation.
