65-Year-Old Woman Walking with Bike Fatally Injured in Pedestrian Accident near Valencia Drive
FULLERTON, CA (March 27, 2018) – On Tuesday morning around 6 AM, a 65-year-old woman walking her bicycle was struck and killed by a car on Brookhurst Street.
According to reports, the woman was crossing Brookhurst Street from the Fullerton Armory, when she was struck by a Mazda sedan driving southbound. The accident took place just south of Valencia Drive. She was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel.
The 26-year-old female driver stayed on the scene and cooperated with investigators. The victim’s bike was stolen before the police arrived, and authorities stated that they want it for evidence.
Witnesses said the victim was walking her bike across the street and it appeared that she was not in a crosswalk at the time of the collision.
