According to the Austin Fire Department (AFD), the high-speed crash happened at about 11 p.m. at the intersection with Westbound 973.

Reports say that two individuals were injured in a high-speed T-bone collision at the intersection of SH 71 Service Road (Eastbound) and Westbound 973

Emergency callers described the crash as involving one person trapped in the vehicle.

AFD promptly responded to the scene, successfully rescuing the trapped individual. Another injured person was also assisted by Austin-Travis County EMS for medical care and potential transport.
