Frewoini Woldemariam Dies in Interstate 5 Pedestrian Accident [Lynnwood, WA]

Lynnwood, WA (January 16, 2024) – 45-year-old Frewoini Woldemariam of Seattle was killed in an Interstate 5 pedestrian accident early Monday morning.

WSP officers received reports about a person standing in the middle of northbound freeway near 44th Avenue West.

Investigating officers said a Hyundai Venue SUV driven by a 31-year-old Granite Falls woman struck Woldemariam who died at the scene.

The SUV driver incurred injuries and was transported to Swedish Edmonds Hospital.

Officers believe drugs and alcohol were factors in the collision.

No arrests have been made.
