FRESNO, CA – Woman Dies in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Collision on East California Avenue at South Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard

Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Hit-and-Run Motorist in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (January 8, 2019) – A female pedestrian died Monday morning after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle while crossing East California Avenue at South Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard.
 
The 50-year-old woman was hit while crossing the busy southwest Fresno intersection around 8:32 a.m. When police arrived, they found a 50-year-old victim on the street. She was transported to Community Regional Medical Center where, despite life-saving efforts, she died.
 
Authorities are reaching out to local businesses nearby to see whether they captured any surveillance footage regarding this crash. Anyone who has seen this collision is asked to call Detective Maffei or Detective Jansen at 559-621-5050.
