2-Vehicle Head-On Collision in Fresno Ends in Fatality
FRESNO, CA (January 29, 2019) – One person was killed following a head-on collision Tuesday afternoon near the Valley Children’s Hospital at the intersection of Avenue 9 and Children’s Boulevard.
The fatal collision happened around 2:50 p.m. involving a silver vehicle and a dark gray smaller SUV.
Details of how the collision occurred were not immediately available but one occupant was killed in the accident. The identity of the victim has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
A coroner was notified to pick up the victim’s remains and conduct a full report.
One of the vehicles was reportedly folded in half due to severe impact. Towing services were dispatched to removed the damaged vehicles from the crash site.
