FRESNO, CA – One Killed in Crash on Highway 180 near Highway 41 Interchange

Afternoon Collision at Highways 180 and 41 Connector Ends in Fatality

 
FRESNO, CA (February 5, 2019) – At least one person was killed following a traffic collision Tuesday afternoon in Fresno transitions roads.
 
The fatal crash happened around 4:40 p.m. at Highway 180 and Highway 41 connector.
 
Details are sparse on who was involved and what exactly transpired, but an initial log indicated a man standing on the ledge on the right shoulder.
 
Fire crews responded to the scene and confirmed at least one fatality as a result of the accident.
 
A traffic alert was issued in the area, closing the ramp for an unknown duration as CHP waited for the coroner to get to the scene.
 
Further details, including the identity of the victim, were not immediately available. An investigation is still ongoing.
