Pedestrian Fatally Struck by 2 Vehicles on Highway 262 in Fremont
FREMONT, CA (March 7, 2019) – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by vehicles Thursday evening in Fremont, police said.
The fatal crash happened around 7:33 p.m. on Highway 262, also called as Mission Boulevard, at Warm Springs Boulevard.
According to an initial report, two undescribed vehicles were involved. While details of how the crash occurred were not immediately available, emergency crews responded to the scene to provide life-saving measures.
Unfortunately, the pedestrian did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene. Information on the victim’s identity has not yet been released pending next of kin notification.
A SigAlert was issued in the area, blocking all westbound lanes of the highway at Warm Springs Boulevard while officers conducted their investigation.
