Pedestrian Accident on Challenger Way Kills Fredrick Garrabrant
Palmdale, CA (July 6, 2020) – On Tuesday, 67-year-old Fredrick Garrabrant was killed after being struck by a car on Challenger Way.
The fatal accident happened at about 9:39 p.m. near Avenue L-4.
Reports said that Garrabrant was getting across the street from the west side of the roadway to the east side pulling a wagon. A witness told him a vehicle was coming, but he decided to continue crossing the roadway.
Authorities pronounced Garrabrant dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle that struck the victim said he did not see Garrabrant, and accidentally struck him. He did not show any signs of impairment or being under the influence.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
