Fred Worthington III Dies, Police Search the Driver after Hit-And-Run Crash on Pima Street in Tucson

Tucson, AZ (November 7, 2022) – On Sunday, 60-year-old Fred Worthington III died in a hit-and-run crash that happened on Oct. 21.

The fatal hit-and-run in Tucson occurred at around 6:24 p.m. near the 4300 block of East Pima Street.

Tucson Police said the pedestrian was mid-block, crossing on Pima Street from north to south when he was struck by the Dodge truck that was traveling eastbound on Pima Street.

The truck immediately fled the scene. 

Police said there are no streetlights along the roadway in the area where the pedestrian was struck.

EMS took the victim to Banner-University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. He died on November 6.
