2 Hurt in Sonora Car Accident on Greenley Road
SONORA, CA (March 16, 2020) – On March 12, two people suffered injuries in a suspected DUI car accident on Greenley Road.
The authorities identified the injured as 50-year-old Fred Jack Westmoreland of Sonora and 45-year-old Heather Ballou of Murphy’s.
The crash occurred on Greenley Road near Cabezut Road at around 11:37 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol revealed that Westmoreland was traveling north in a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado on Greenley Road. He then crashed with a westbound car driven by Heather Ballou.
The two drivers sustained injuries and both of them were transported to Adventist Health Sonora for treatment.
The authorities determined that Fred Westmoreland drove under the influence. Therefore, they arrested him and booked him into the Tuolumne County Jail for a felony DUI charge.
The crash remains under investigation.
