2 Fatally Injured after Vehicle Crashes into Tree near Ford-Wellpinit Road
TUMTUM, WA (August 1, 2018) – Two people reportedly died Wednesday afternoon in a solo-car crash on State Route 231. The deceased victims were later identified as 29-year-old Frankie Jo Andrew and 48-year-old Aaron Lane Hill.
The Washington State Patrol was called to the scene near Ford-Wellpinit Road, around 3:20 PM. Both victims were ejected from an unidentified vehicle after it flipped and hit a tree off Ford-Wellpinit, just a mile from the state highway.
A third occupant, who was also ejected from the car, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. There is no update on his current medical condition at this time.
An initial assessment showed that none of the occupants was wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision. An investigation is ongoing to determine cause of the accident.
