A Fontana Man Dies and and Norma Oceguera Sustains Injuries in a Crash at Means Dry Lakebed

 
Johnson Valley, CA (May 29, 2020) – Francisco Macias, a 31-year-old man from Fontana, died in an off-road vehicle crash Sunday at the Means Dry Lakebed in Johnson Valley.
 
Two other people were hurt in the same accident.
 
Macias drove a 2020 CanAm north of the Means Dry Lake bed at around 2:22 pm when the accident happened. His passengers were Norma Oceguera, 42, also from Fontana, and Steve Larios, 39, of San Dimas.
 
Reports say Macias made an unsafe turn causing for the off-road vehicle to roll.
 
Francisco Macias sustained fatal injuries in the accident, while responders took Larios and Oceguera to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs due to injuries.
 
They were wearing seatbelts, but not helmets, the CHP says. It’s not known if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
