Injuries Reported in Wichita Falls Deadly Crash
Wichita Falls, TX (September 15, 2024) – 24-year-old Francisco Javier Munoz Jr. was killed in a vehicle crash on US 287 yesterday.
Texas DPS officers said Munoz Jr was driving anorthwest 2009 Ford F150 on the highway when he failed to drive in a single lane. The vehicle drove into the center median through the cable barrier and onto oncoming traffic.
The driver of another vehicle attempted to prevent the collision but hit MunozJr’s vehicle head-on. Both vehicles rested in the median lane.
Sadly, Francisco Javier Munoz Jr was killed at the crash scene. It is not yet determined if he was wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision.
Meanwhile, the occupants in the second vehicle sustained minor injuries.
Officers are still investigating this collision.
