Francisco Contreras and Alexis Franco Injured in National Trails Highway Collision [Victorville, CA]

Victorville, CA (August 3, 2024) – Francisco Contreras, 23, of San Bernardino, and Alexis Franco, 25, of Helendale, were injured in National Trails Highway collision early Wednesday morning.

It was about 1:04 a.m. when the collision between a gray Nissan Sentra and a blue Peterbilt 389 tractor-trailer happened at the intersection with Wilderness Court.

The Nissan Sentra occupants, Francisco Contreras and Alexis Franco, incurred major injuries. They were both transported to an out-of-area trauma center for urgent medical treatment.

The Victorville Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is investigating the cause of the collision and closed National Trails Highway between Air Expressway and First Street for several hours.
