26-Year-Old Woman Hurt in Auto-Pedestrian Crash on SR 397
Kennewick, WA (August 19, 2024) On Sunday morning, 26-year-old Francisco Barajas Hernandez of Benton City was arrested after a 26-year-old woman was hurt in a suspected DUI crash on SR 397.
According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the auto-pedestrian crash happened at about 2:12 a.m. on SR 397.
Reports say that Barajas Hernandez was driving a vehicle when he drove up onto the sidewalk and hit the woman.
Authorities say that Barajas Hernandez fled the scene and continued driving northbound. Officers later apprehended Barajas Hernandez and arrested him.
Officials say that Barajas Hernandez was arrested on suspicion of DUI and felony hit and run. Officials booked him into the Benton County Jail.
Meanwhile, the woman was taken to the hospital with her condition unknown at this time.
