Lanes Closed in Multiple-Vehicle Collision near Santa Fe Avenue
COMPTON, CA (September 25, 2018) – Four vehicles were involved in a serious car crash on 91 Freeway, early Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multiple-car collision took place at approximately 5:38 AM, just west of Santa Fe Avenue. When officials arrived at the scene, three vehicles were blocking the lanes of highway 91, while the fourth one was stopped on the right-hand shoulder.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the four damaged vehicles. It is unclear if injuries were sustained in the crash, and how many. The No. 2 and 3 lanes were blocked off to traffic as the authorities worked to clear the roadway from the wreckage, and conduct a preliminary investigation.
The investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accident and to identify possible contributing factors. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
