Four Transported in Interstate 10 Head-On Crash [Chandler, AZ]

Chandler, AZ (July 30, 2024) – Four people were injured in an Interstate 10 head-on crash early Saturday morning.

The vehicle crash happened before 3 a.m. near Wild Horse Pass Boulevard.

Troopers said a 62-year-old semi-truck driver was traveling east on the westbound lanes of the freeway.

The accident report stated that the truck’s hazard lights on and the driver continued driving in the wrong direction passing an exit ramp.

After nearly striking several vehicles and a big rig, the truck collided head-on crash with a passenger car with four people inside. 

All the passenger car’s occupants were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver said during an interview that she had just left a truck stop and entered the freeway realizing that she was driving in the wrong direction.

The authorities booked her into jail on charges on aggravated assault, endangerment, and reckless driving.
